Within the luxurious fittings of each suite lies a hidden network
of technological wizardry -lighting, curtains and air-conditioning
throughout the suite comes to life at the touch of a button.
Computers also service a sophisticated multi-media system with
up to 100 cable channels -the largest selection available in
the Middle East. Guests can take advantage of the video-on-demand
system and can watch any film in the selection available even
if other residents are enjoying the same movie.
The real-time recording system
enables guests to take a break from a program - even a live
broadcast. Using the system they can return to the point at
which they left the program at any time. These facilities can
be enjoyed in surround-sound stereo on the 42-inch, wide-screen
plasma televisions. The television and its remote control manage
numerous functions and services. It can record items for viewing
later, while one channel is linked to a camera outside the suite
allowing room guests to see who is at their door.
Visitors can then be let in with
the push of a button. Every suite has its own laptop computer,
scanner and printer which interface with the television. Guests
can phone home from anywhere in their suite. A one-bedroom suite
has 14 telephones and each Royal Suite boasts no fewer than
27 handsets. The one-bedroom de Iuxe suites, and two and three-bedroom
suites have their own private dining rooms, serviced by fully-equipped
kitchens.
The one-bedroom de luxe suites
have their own custom-built billiards tables, while the two
and three-bedroom suites have interconnecting living rooms.
All suites have guest bathrooms on the ground floor in addition
to the ensuite facilities upstairs. The upper level bedrooms
are all marvelously furnished and decorated.
A king-size bed facing the floor
to ceiling windows dominates each ornate, blue and gold master
bedroom. All bedrooms have 28-inch screen televisions, while
the large bathrooms, decorated with stunning murals featuring
some of the UAE's prominent landmarks, are equipped with power
showers and whirlpool baths. Large mirrors, sinks, exquisite
marble surfaces and subtle lighting make the bathrooms a relaxing
refuge in themselves.
Next door is the dressing room
with large wardrobes, dressing table and mirrors as well as
a plentiful supply of pillows and sheets.The two and three-bedroom
suites have large guest bedrooms with twin beds and their own
bath rooms. The 18 one-bedroom end suites offer guests a stunning
180-degree panoramic view from the downstairs lounge and mezzanine
bedroom.
